All four Chandler Public Library branches will be closed Monday, February 18 for Presidents' Day.
You can still get things to read when the library's closed: ebooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, downloadable music, and more! Take a look at one of the library's collections of digital media.
OverDrive is our longest-running and largest collection of ebooks. Ebooks may be available in various formats, including Kindle*, EPUB* for ebook readers such as the Nook or iPad, and the OverDrive READ* format, which can be read on your computer - no additional software required. You can also find audiobooks and some music and video selections. Follow the link for more information and assistance.
* Format availability varies by title.
Axis360 is a new collection of ebooks with an emphasis on illustrated texts: children's books, how-to books, cookbooks, and more. You can also find a selection of popular fiction here - check Axis360 if OverDrive doesn't have the titles or authors you're looking for. Follow the link for more information.
Zinio is a popular magazine subscription service, delivering digital magazines to your computer, tablet, or smartphone, and they now have magazines for your library! Follow the link for a step-by-step guide to getting started. (Remember: Start here or at the library's website to gain access to the library's collection, or Zinio will think you're an individual customer and charge you for magazines.)
TumbleBooks is a library of interactive kids' books - read, watch, and listen to the book at the same time!
Gale Virtual Reference Library gives you access to encyclopedias and reference books. Work on your project even when the library's closed!
Confused by all these options? The library is here to help! Visit us during open hours for assistance, and check out our ebook classes and help sessions. Find the schedule on our ebook launch page - scroll down to the "eBook Classes" widget on the right.
